Spec Ad

Main Objectives

Drive 25- to 35-year-old parents with kids from 6 months to 4 years to the ABC Toys website (a website that sells educational toys) to purchase a toy for their child.

My Approach

This ad targets parents who want the best opportunities for their kids, so they keep them intellectually engaged by purchasing educational toys.

Since this is a looping banner ad, the copy had to grab attention, especially since they are trying to get a different task accomplished and the ad is merely a distraction. Kids say ridiculous things, though, so I chose some of the entertaining statements I’ve heard over the years to demonstrate the imagination of an intellectually-stimulated kid.

These ads jump out at parents excited about curiosity and imagination because they’re relatable. You’ll be happy to know that, in my imagination, they visited the site and bought their kid some purple binoculars.
